  • About Thomas M. Hendell

In addition to his litigation practice, Tom Hendell is registered agent and corporate counselor for numerous business entities. Tom assists clients in all stages of forming, maintaining and dissolving business entities, and he provides guidance and representation on everyday business matters like employee issues, purchases and sales of assets, and dealing with administrative agencies. Tom Hendell handles all manner of business disputes in court as an adjunct of his corporate practice.

When he is not practicing law, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, alpine and pedestrian sports, and gardening.

Tom Hendell has a general civil litigation practice with a focus on major injury. He began his legal career at the law firm of Dunton, Simmons & Dunton, LLP in White Stone, Virginia, where, like all new associates, he represented indigent criminal defendants along with his other clients. Tom built on those first experiences in court to represent all manner of clients in civil litigation, from injured persons, to owners, banks, contractors, and beyond. Tom Hendell returned to Charlottesville in 2015 to try cases with Tom Albro, whom many consider the greatest trial lawyer in Virginia. He is guided by the belief that most clients know exactly what is most important about their stories, and it is his job to listen, learn, and help them present their best case. Tom Hendell exclusively represents injured persons in injury cases.

    My Primary Objective

My primary goal is to learn about what is important to my client and to work with them to advocate for their best possible result.
