Jamie was raised in Southern California and attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. After college, she earned her Masters from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 2014, she has worked in domestic law in Charlottesville. Jamie has extensive experience in family law, including equitable distribution, custody and visitation, and child and spousal support. She excels at balancing professionalism and empathy for each client.

Jamie has lived in the area since 2011 with her daughter and two sons. She loves all that Charlottesville has to offer: great people and food, four seasons, beautiful scenery, vineyards, UVA events, and much more.

Sabah Herman joined Tremblay & Smith in 2015 as the General Manager/COO.  Sabah is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and worked in law firms in San Francisco before moving to Charlottesville in 1992.  She previously worked at Monticello and managed a law firm for several years before her current position.

Debbie Nelson originally hails from the great State of Texas and has called Charlottesville her home for 24 years.  She has been a legal assistant at Tremblay & Smith since October 30, 2000, assisting Thomas (Tom) E. Albro, Thomas M. Hendell and Evan D. Mayo.  Before moving to Charlottesville, Debbie’s background was in real estate, working in client relations at Equitable Relocation in Dallas, as a title abstractor in Quitman, Texas, and at National City Mortgage in both Dallas and Charlottesville.  She attended Eastfield Community College in Dallas.  When not busy with her work, Debbie enjoys volunteering at church and in her community.

Gabby Safley joined Tremblay & Smith in September 2023 as Client Coordinator. Gabby is a Charlottesville local raised in Belmont. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2023, and earned a degree in History and Political Science. While at VCU, Gabby discovered a passion for legal studies and working with others. Outside of work, Gabby enjoys being active, attending sport events, and visiting local vineyards with friends.

Mckenzie Slough joined Tremblay & Smith in 2023. Mckenzie grew up in Western Maryland before moving to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia. She graduated in 2024, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Science and Philosophy. Mckenzie joined the team during her last year of college as a part-time Document Processor and before her graduation, became a full-time Legal Assistant.

Mallory joined Tremblay & Smith in 2022 as a legal assistant. Mallory attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2022. Mallory has long-standing aspirations to attend law school and pursue a legal career, which has been the fuel for her dedication to her work and desire to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues at T&S. In her free time, Mallory enjoys spending time with her family, maintaining her mini-farm, and playing with her two dogs.
